The National Museum organised a workshop titled: “Highlights from Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque” dedicated to hearing impaired group, in cooperation with the Scientific College of Design on Tuesday, December7, 2021. The Workshop was presented by Abdullah al-Rugaibi, Education Specialist at the National Museum and Dr. Mohammad Tarik, Head of Fashion Design Department at the Scientific College of Design, along with Ms. Huda al-Ameriyah, sign language translator.
The workshop included a number of topics, most notably a historical view of the status of mosques in Islam, the importance of the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the parts of the mosque, and its universal message, followed by a practical application of drawing and painting the mosque.
The workshop aimed to train and rehabilitate this category and integrate it within the society, discover their creativity, provide them with skills related to art and coloring, and spread this experience for a better and happier future.
