Where is your location?
The National Museum is located in the Wilayat of Muscat, Hillat an-Ni’am, as-Sa’idyyah School Street, opposite of al-Alam Palace. We are approximately (35km) from Muscat International Airport, and (5km) from Port Sultan Qaboos.

What are the tourist attractions near by?
You can view the Qasr Palace, and the neighbouring al-Jalali and al-Mirani forts. You can also visit al-Saidia Museum, Bait Fransa, as well as the private museums in the area including Bait al-Zubair, Ghaliyah Arts Museum, Bait al-Branda Museum, in addition to visiting Mattrah Suq, walking along the corniche and watching Mattrah Fort. There are also a couple of parks such as Kalbouh and Riyam.

The Museum’s Majlis al-Luban Restaurant offers a choose of traditional and contemporary Omani experience, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Museum also houses Chado Tea Lounge in the Timeline Gallery.

Is the Museum open during the weekend?
Yes, the Museum’s working hours are as follows:
Saturday – Thursday: 10am – 5pm (Ticket desk closes at 4:30pm)
Fridays: 2pm – 6pm (Ticket desk closes at 5:30pm)

We are open all year except on the first and second days of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.

Do you have a return policy?
The returned purchase must be unused, in the original cover, and in a condition where it can be re-sold (with the receipt).
The products must be returned personally or by requesting refund with justified reasons within 30 days from the purchase date.
The receipt must be provided to complete the process of return and refund.
Money is returned is the same currency payed when buying the products.
Refund is made within 3 weeks from the date of returning the products.

Yes, you can find range of our products in the Duty Free at Muscat International Airport, with smaller collection available on the in-flight duty free shop (Oman Air).

Yes, you can pay by any of the AGCC currencies, we also accept major international currencies, such as Euro, Sterling Pound, US Dollar or by card.

Is the movie ‘Oman Jewel of the East’ available to purchase?
The film is screened exclusively at the National Museum AV theatre.
