Board of Trustees of the National Museum Holds its 10th Meeting

The Board of Trustees of the National Museum today held its 10th meeting under the chairmanship of Salim bin Mohammed al- Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Museum, and in the presence of Her Highness Dr. Mona bint Fahd al-Said, Assistant Vice Chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University for International Cooperation and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and His Excellency Sayyid Said bin Sultan al-Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Culture, Dr. Mounir Bouchenaki, Incumbent Director of the Arab Regional Center for World Heritage in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and His Excellency Jamal bin Hassan al-Moosawi, Secretary General of the National Museum.

During the meeting, the Board’s members approved the 2022 annual report of departments of administrative and financial affairs, the Museum Learning and Community Outreach, the Collections department and the Media and Communication department.

The Board also approved the schedule of external exhibitions for the current year (2023) and for 2024 as well as the adoption of work plans and programmes related to cultural diplomatic relations or international cooperation.
