Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Russian Federation at the National Museum

The National Museum and the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Muscat held on Monday, 27 October 2025, an official reception and a photographic exhibition marking the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Russian Federation. The event also witnessed the launch of the musical seasons of the “Rus Concert” Foundation at the National Museum, under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Issa al-Harthy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs.

The exhibition features a unique collection of historical photographs from the archives of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, offering visitors an opportunity to trace the evolution of Omani–Russian relations from their inception to the present day. It also includes images of significant meetings and encounters, alongside rare historical documents.

On this occasion, the “RusConcert” Foundation inaugurated its musical seasons at the National Museum, with operatic performances by Dinara Alieva and Igor Morozov, accompanied by pianist Lyubov Vingik. The musical seasons will also feature six additional concerts to be held at the National Museum through the end of this year.
