Chairman of the Chinese People`s Political Consultative Conference visits the National Museum

His Excellency Wang Yang, member of the Politburo Standing Committee, and Chairman of the Chinese People`s Political Consultative Conference visited the National Museum on Thursday, 14 November 2019 CE as part of his visit to the Sultanate from 13 – 16 November 2019 CE.

The tour focused on the Oman-Chinese relations and the artefacts exhibited at the Museum, which testify to this relationship that was established since the 7th century CE, until the present time. The elite Chinese pottery at the Oman and the World Gallery is one of the main artefacts in the Museum, indicating the strong Omani-Chinese relations. The exhibits also included ceramic and pottery vessels, rare bowl fragments and vessels made from glazed stoneware.
