Head of the Egypt`s Supreme Council for Media Regulation Visits the National Museum
Karam Gaber, the esteemed Head of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation of the Arab Republic of Egypt, visited the National Museum today, Thursday, 24 September 2024, accompanied by his delegation.
The distinguished guest toured the Museum and its corridors, listening to a comprehensive explanation about its exhibits, which highlight significant aspects of Oman`s history and culture according to the Museum`s narrative. Key areas of interest include the Maritime History Gallery, the Civilization in the Making Gallery, the Aflaj Gallery, the Timeline Gallery, the Prehistory and Ancient Times Gallery، Bat, al-Khatum, and al-Ain Gallery, the Land of Frankincense Gallery, the Renaissance Gallery, and the Intangible Heritage Gallery.
His Excellency also explored the corner dedicated to the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taimur in the Renaissance Gallery, and he observed the original of Will Letter No. "1" from Sultan Qaboos bin Said addressed to the esteemed members of the royal family council via the Defence Council and Oman’s Revived Renaissance section. He also viewed a collection of royal possessions, notably personal items and gifts presented to the late Sultan from leaders of brotherly and friendly nations, including those symbolising Omani-Egyptian relations.
At the end of the tour, the guest also watched a short visual presentation (film) in the cinema hall located in the Arms and Armour Gallery at the Museum, titled "Oman: The Jewel of the East in the Land of Hope."
