His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq - bestows the Medal of Honor on Professor Mikhail Piotrovsky, Chairman of the Russian Museums Authority, Director General of the Hermitage Museum and member of the Board of Trustees of the National Museum of the Sultanate of Oman.

In appreciation of His Majesty - may God bless him - for his good efforts and contributions in promoting cultural and museum cooperation between the National Museum and the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, and for his role in cultural and civilizational promotion between the Sultanate of Oman and the friendly Federal Republic of Russia.

The medal was handed over by His Excellency Sayyid Khalid al-Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, during his reception at his office this morning, in the presence of His Excellency Jamal al-Moosawi, Secretary-General of the National Museum and His Excellency the Chargé d`Affaires of the Embassy of the Russian Federation to the Sultanate of Oman.
