More than 25,000 beneficiaries of the national immunization campaign held in the National Museum
On Monday, September 6, 2021, the National Museum concluded the national campaign for the immunisation against coronavirus (COVID-19), which was organised by the Badr Al Samaa group of hospitals and medical centres at the National Museum`s headquarter, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, for a period of two months during starting from July 7 to September 6 2021. The campaign is a contribution from the Museum to support the efforts of the Supreme Committee dealing with COVID-19 resolutions for dealing with developments resulting from the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19).
A ceremony was held to celebrate the campaign’s finale in the Land and People gallery. A short film was presented documenting the journey, which includes pictures and statistics about the campaign.
The number of institutions covered by the campaign reached 350, and the number of beneficiaries reached more than 25000, which includes both locals and residents. The number of employees of the National Museum and employees of agencies and companies operating in the museum and its other facilities reached (150) people, with a vaccination rate of (100%) for all employees and their families.
Sameer PT Chief Executive at Badr al-Samaa Group of Hospitals and Medical Centres, said, “ I would like to first thank His Excellency Jamal al Moosawi for this wonderful opportunity. In the beginning, the hospital faced a problem regarding the crowding of patients and we found difficulty in locating a corporate space to carry out the vaccination. We were delighted when His Excellency offered the National Museum as a venue ,as we transferred all our corporate employees in a wonderful safe space.at the end we managed to immunize over 25,000 patients from 350 corporate institutions and we look forward in the future to collaborate with the museum with other health related campaign.
The vaccination centre witnessed a great turnout by locals and residents that reflects everyone`s awareness and interest in the importance of taking the vaccine in order to face the global pandemic.
A number of citizens and residents expressed their satisfaction with the organisational process and the smoothness of the procedures followed to receive the vaccine at the immunization centre at the National Museum, in accordance with the precautionary and preventive controls announced by the Supreme Committee dealing with COVID-19 resolutions, and the vaccinators also confirmed the good treatment of the Museum`s administration and the medical staff, and that the vaccination process did not take more than 15 minutes.
Some supervisors of the vaccination centre also expressed their satisfaction with the high turnout of locals and residents, which indicates the keenness and awareness of the effective partnership for the success of all plans drawn to address coronavirus (COVID-19).
