The National Museum represented by the Friends of Museums and Community Outreach Unit carried out a lecture titled "Treasures of ad-Dhahira Governorate at the National Museum” at al-Farahidi Hall at the Muscat International Book Fair.
The lecture was presented by Younis Al-Shahoumi, a Museum Interpretation Specialist at the National Museum.
The lecture discussed the most prominent archaeological artefacts in the Museum and related to the sites of Bat, al-Salmi, al-Waqba and as-Safa in ad-Dhahira Governorate.
It is noteworthy that the National Museum participates in a selected collection of archaeological artefacts in the pavilion of ad-Dhahirah Governorate, most notably a necklace of beads, a dagger, a set of arrowheads, pottery and utnals dating back to different periods of time that were found at archaeological sites in ad-Dhahirah Governorate.
