The National Museum celebrates "Qaranqasho" night with a wide participation of families and children

Within the framework of engagement within the Omani society, the National Museum, represented by the learning centre, organized a celebration on Saturday, April 16, 2022, on the occasion of "Qaranqasho" in the museums’ garden, in a joyful atmosphere with the participation of a number of families and children, where the celebration targeted 1,000 children.

The celebration included a variety of entertainment and educational activities where the children interacted greatly, such as local singing groups, drawing and coloring activities, as well as the distribution of gifts.

The celebration stems from the museums’ interest in the participation of the Omani local community, and to commemorate an annual social occasion where everyone is brought together with joy and happiness in their hearts.

It is noteworthy that the National Museum is the first museum in the Sultanate of Oman that includes a learning center, equipped according to the highest international standards, and offers various educational programs aimed at raising public awareness about the importance of the Omani cultural heritage, thus creating more interest among all categories of visitors in the history of Oman.
