The National Museum hosts "Lineaments" Exhibition organized by Nizwa University

The National Museum, represented by the Learning Centre, in cooperation with the University of Nizwa and with the support of B.P. Oman, hosted an art exhibition titled "Lineaments" of paintings which were drawn by the students of Art programs’, Art Education and Fine Arts and the University’s Fine Arts Group, using their brushes and cold and warm colours. “Lineaments” were waving between sharpness of black and white colours of students and their abilities of embodying strength and softness.

The inauguration was attended by His Excellency Jamal bin Hassan al-Moosawi, Secretary General of the National Museum and Dr. Issa Sulaiman al-Amri, Dean of College of Arts and Sciences at Nizwa University, and a number of University of Nizwa students, academics and those interested in the artistic field.

The exhibition dealt with the authentic Omani faces of various ages and expression; purity, joy, happiness, innocence, sadness and contemplation. Also, it showed the heritage and cultural aspect of Omani traditional clothing and costumes. In addition, the exhibition highlights the students` skills in using modern technology and adapting it to go in line with the traditional aspect of painting and embodying these authentic meanings and features.
