The National Museum Hosts “Tunisia Through the Camera Lens, 1920” Exhibition in Cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia in Muscat
The National Museum, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia in Muscat and the Tunis Center for the Digital Cultural Economy, affiliated with the Ministry of Cultural Affairs of the Republic of Tunisia, hosted an art exhibition titled “Tunisia Through the Camera Lens 1920” on Monday, 23 June 2025, under the patronage of His Excellency Eng. Ibrahim bin Said al- Kharusi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Heritage. The exhibition will remain open to the public until 7 July.
The exhibition features a collection of historical photographs that document the arts, architecture, and aspects of daily life, reflecting the historical character of the city of Tunis at the beginning of the last century. A technological component has been integrated into the exhibition, offering visitors an immersive virtual reality experience that revives historical imagery.
The exhibition seeks to highlight the historical and cultural heritage of the city of Tunis through the use of modern digital technologies and to encourage innovation in the field of digital cultural content, contributing to the preservation of heritage and the promotion of cultural tourism in a contemporary manner.
