The National Museum Inaugurates “Neo-Russian Style” Exhibition in Collaboration with the State Hermitage Museum
As part of the “Russian Seasons”, the National Museum inaugurated on Thursday, 19 June 2025, an exhibition titled “Neo-Russian Style”, held in collaboration with the State Hermitage Museum. The opening took place under the auspicious of His Excellency Qais bin Mohammed al-Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion. The exhibition will run until 2nd November this year.
The exhibition features a collection of applied arts, ornamental objects, and historical masquerade costumes inspired by the Russian style, which were used at court balls in Imperial Russia, dating from the 1880s to the second decade of the 20th century.
Among the displayed items are pieces presented as gifts to the Russian emperors by various social groups across the Empire, including commemorative plates, salt cellars, and hand-held fans.
