The National Museum launched on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, its “Audio Guide” service, aimed at enriching visitors’ experience by providing detailed historical explanations of the museum’s Galleries and a selection of key artefacts during their tour.
 
The service is available in both Arabic and English. It also offers two tour options: self-guided tours and group tours.
 
The "Audio Guide" service features options specifically designed for visitors with disabilities, such as audio descriptions for the visually impaired and sign language for the deaf-mute. Additionally, the device provides audio and visual instructions to facilitate its use, along with an interactive map to help visitors navigate the galleries and learn about the most significant artefacts.
 
The launch of this service aligns with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, aiming to enhance digital transformation and enrich the visitor experience by adding an educational and cultural dimension that deepens understanding of the exhibits and encourages greater engagement.
