The National Museum, in collaboration with Sultan Qaboos University, is organising a cultural exhibition from 28 to 29 October 2025. The exhibition highlights the National Museum and its role in the cultural and museological sectors, while also showcasing its key publications and initiatives.

This collaboration aims to enhance awareness of the Museum’s role in preserving national identity and promoting museum knowledge among academics and students, as well as to introduce the rich cultural heritage of the Sultanate of Oman, preserved within the National Museum.

The accompanying programme includes, on the first day, a lecture titled “The Role of the National Museum in Promoting Sustainable Tourism.” On the second day, a practical workshop will be held titled “Fundamentals of Conservation and Preventive Preservation” at the Archaeology Laboratory, College of Arts and Social Sciences.

The Museum’s participation also includes introductory sessions on “Friends of Oman Museums` membership, along with promotional competitions for visitors from among students and academics at the Museum’s booth.
