The National Museum organises an artistic workshop titled “Maritime Glories of Oman”
The National Museum, represented by the Learning Centre, with the support of BP Oman and in cooperation with the Royal Navy of Oman at the headquarters of the Sultan’s Armed Forces Museum, organised an artistic workshop titled “Naritime Glories of Oman” on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 CE, coinciding with the celebration of the Armed Forces Day, which falls on 11 December of each year. The workshop was presented by Abdullah bin Muhammad al-Rajaibi, Education Specialist (Outreach Programme) at the National Museum and in the presence of a number of school students in the Wilayat of Mattrah.
The students excelled in creating and painting the "Shabab Oman" ship, which has always played a prominent role in spreading the message of peace and strengthening friendship between the countries of the world, in addition to weapons belonging to the Royal Air Force of Oman and the Royal Army of Oman.
The workshop came as part of the activities accompanying the inauguration of the exhibition “The Biography of a Leader and his Glorious Reign” at the headquarters of the Sultan’s Armed Forces Museum in Beit al-Falaj, which tells the glorified historical biography of the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taimour, under the patronage of His Excellency Jamal bin Hassan al-Moosawi, Secretary General of the National Museum.
