The National Museum participates in the 9th Saint Petersburg International Cultural Forum- United Cultures Forum" in the Russian Federation

The National Museum participated in the 9th Saint Petersburg International Cultural Forum- United Cultures Forum" in Saint Petersburg, the Russian Federation, during the period 16-18 November, 2023 CE. The delegation was headed by His Excellency Jamal bin Hassan al-Moosawi, Secretary-General of the National Museum, in the presence of His Excellency Ambassador Hamood bin Salim al-Towaiya - Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation and Dr. Fatima bint Mohammed al-Balushi, Director General of Museums Affairs.

His Excellency the Secretary-General of the National Museum participated in the dialogue session titled “Culture as a Basis for National Identity”, which was chaired by Her Excellency the Russian Minister of Culture. He also participated in other sessions accompanying the forum related to museums and bilateral cultural cooperation.

on the sidelines of the National Museum’s participation in the 9th St. Petersburg International Forum for Culture, the National Museum signed (3) agreements on cultural cooperation with a group of Russian museums. The agreements were signed on the Omani side by His Excellency Jamal bin Hassan al-Moosawi, Secretary-General of the National Museum, in the presence of His Excellency Hamood Salim al-Towaiya, the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation.

The National Museum also signed on agreements of Strategic Framework with the Saint Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, on the sidelines of the 9th St. Petersburg International Forum for Culture. The agreements were signed on the Omani side by His Excellency Jamal bin Hassan al-Moosawi, Secretary-General of the National Museum. And on the Russian side, it was signed by Professor Mikhail Piotrovsky, Chairman of the Russian Museum Authority, Director General of the Hermitage Museum, and Member of the Board of Trustees of the National Museum in the Sultanate of Oman.
