The National Museum is participating in the exhibition “Sustainability of Culture, Identity, and Heritage and the Role of Translation in This Sustainability”, held as part of the 8th International Conference on “Sustainable Translation in the Age of Knowledge Extraction, Generation, and Reproduction,” hosted by Sultan Qaboos University from 10–13 December 2025. The conference brings together an elite group of scholars, researchers, faculty members, and students from 61 countries.
The Museum’s booth showcases some of its prominent publications and initiatives, along with selected artifacts, including a Swahili translation of the meanings of the Noble Qur’an by Chief Justice Sheikh Abdullah bin Salih al-Farsi, printed in 1969, and a Victorian-style pencil from the collection of the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said al-Said.
The Museum’s participation aims to highlight Omani cultural heritage and promote museum knowledge among exhibition visitors.
