The National Museum participates in the work of the 10th St. Petersburg International Forum of United Cultures in St. Petersburg in the Russian Federation
The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the National Museum, participated in the work of the 10th St. Petersburg International Forum of United Cultures, held in St. Petersburg in the Russian Federation until September 14.
The Museum was represented at the forum by H.E. Jamal bin Hassan al-Moosawi, Secretary-General of the National Museum, in the presence of His Excellency Hamood bin Salim al-Towaiya, the Accredited Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation.
His Excellency the Secretary-General of the National Museum presented a working paper titled: "Rehabilitation of Muscat both Inside and Outside: Reviving of the Historical Identity”, which dealt with the efforts of the National Museum in rehabilatingh, preserving and conserving a number of museums and historical houses, with the aim of presenting a cultural conduct that reflects the political and social life in Muscat, and preserving the national identity and consolidating it in the memory of future generations.
His Excellency the Secretary-General of the National Museum also participated in other sessions accompanying the forum on topics related to museums and international cultural cooperation.
