The National Museum Participates with the Sheikh Suleiman bin Nasser al-Lamki in the Scholarly Symposium: "Readings in the Thought of Sheikh Suleiman bin Nasser al-Lamki"

The National Museum is participating with a collection of Sheikh Suleiman bin Nasser al-Lamki in the scholarly symposium "Readings in the Thought of Sheikh Suleiman bin Nasser al-Lamki", organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, represented by the Literary Forum, from 9 to 10 September 2025 at the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque Mosque Hall.

The displayed collection includes a number of decorations and medals awarded to the Sheikh, most notably the Order of the Brilliant Star of Zanzibar (First Class) and the Ottoman Order of Medjidie, in addition to a hunter pocket watch engraved with the image of Emperor Wilhelm II, and an incense-serving set.

Sheikh Suleiman bin Nasser al-Lamki is regarded as one of Oman`s foremost figures in the early 20th century. Born in al-Rustaq in 1862, he was renowned for his influential stances and distinguished scholarly stature.
