The Russian President awards the Secretary General of the National Museum with the "Pushkin Medal"

Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, awarded His Excellency Jamal al-Moosawi, Secretary General of the National Museum, the "Pushkin Medal", for his efforts in strengthening bilateral relations in the cultural and museum fields between the Sultanate of Oman and the Russian Federation.

The Award ceremony was held at the National Museum on Tuesday 22nd August 2023, where the Russian Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman His Excellency Ilya Morgunov awarded His Excellency Jamal al-Moosawi with the medal.

The Pushkin Medal is one of the highest awards granted by Russian Federation. The medal is named after the poet Alexander Sergey Pushkin. It is awarded to foreign personalities for their role in bringing cultural rapprochement between their countries and the Russian Federation.
