The National Museum, represented by the Learning Centre and in cooperation with the Smithsonian Institution in the United States of America and the US embassy in the Sultanate, held the fourth lecture in the series of lectures on museum management in the twenty-first century for Omani specialists and students within the field of museums. The lecture titled “Exhibition Development: A Study” A Case on Money as Material Culture: Holdings and Organization in the Museum of American Money” and presented by Douglas Mudd, Curator/Director of the American Numismatic Association’s Edward C.Rochette Money Museum in Colorado Springs, Colorado on Wednesday 13 October 2021 through the Zoom platform.

The lecture included several topics, the most prominent of which was an introduction on the origin of money, as well as the collection management through dealing with various currencies in the stages of storage, furthermore the methods of displaying, installation and interpretation development were discussed restoration and preservation.
